How It Happened
Lebanon Valley was dominant from the opening whistle in the team's 10-0 victory over Lancaster Bible at Arnold Field on Wednesday night, Oct. 3.
The Flying Dutchmen (6-5) roared out of the gate, opening the game's scoring when
Mikayla Poole netted her first marker of the night off an assist from
Cecile Kat just 30 seconds into the contest.
Kat got into the scoring act with her first of two goals in the seventh minute before
Jenna Lysakowski made it 3-0 LVC less than four minutes later. Kat needed just 34 seconds to increase the home team's advantage to four with 23:01 left to play in the opening half.
After assisting on a score earlier in the half,
Taylor Pentz added a goal of her own in the 12th minute. Poole converted her second marker of the game less than five minutes later off a feed from
Danielle Alba and a strike from
Isabella Vulopas upped the Dutchmen advantage to 7-0 heading into the break.
Faith Dinger got the scoring started in the second half when she found the back of the cage off a Vulopas feed before Alba gathered in a pass from
Hannah Simon and put her shot past Chargers' goalkeeper Anne VanBuskirk in the 60th minute.
Lily Gallagher put a bow on the contest's scoring when she converted the first score of her young career with 9:33 remaining.
Inside the Numbers
