How It Happened
SHELTON, Conn. – Lebanon Valley's women's ice hockey team picked up its first win of 2018-19 thanks to a three-goal third period on Saturday afternoon against Post University. The Dutchmen, who earned the 4-2 victory, improved to 1-1-0, while the Eagles dropped to 2-6-0.

After neither team could find the back of the net in the first period, Post lit the lamp just 1:33 into the second when Alana Lopez scored an unassisted goal to put the Eagles on top at 1-0. Later in the second, with 42 seconds left, Darby Seymour netted a goal from Rachel Havrylkoff to even the score at 1-1 heading into the third period.

After the Eagles' Kathleen Takita scored 3:39 into the third period to put Post up 2-1, the Dutchmen dominated for the remainder of the period, starting with Chloe Glass' unassisted tally at 5:52 to tie the game yet again, this time at 2-2. Then, after Post was called for a penalty, the Dutchmen took advantage and Olivia Cindrich scored off an assist from Amy Templeman to put LVC ahead 3-2 with 4:55 remaining in the third. Then, with six seconds remaining, Havrylkoff put the game out of reach when she found the back of the net off feeds from Seymour and Madison Humes, as the Dutchmen hung on for the 4-2 victory on the road.
