How It Happened
GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – Two second-half goals lifted Gwynedd Mercy past Lebanon Valley 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference field hockey action. The Dutchmen ended their regular season at 9-9, while the Griffins jumped to 12-5.

In LVC's final regular-season contest of 2018, Danielle Alba scored her third of the season and broke the 0-0 tie in the 52nd minute after both teams failed to score in the opening half. Gwynedd Mercy, however, evened the score eight minutes later, and then Alyssa Tomsic scored her third of the season in the 64th minute, and that tally proved to be the game-winner.

The Griffins' defense was able to hold LVC's potent offense in check and only allowed a pair of shots on the day.
