How It Happened
HERSHEY, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's ice hockey team dominated Morrisville State 6-0 in the Dutchmen's 2018-19 home opener on Friday night inside The GIANT Center. LVC improved to 1-0-0, while the Mustangs fell to 0-1-0.

The Dutchmen got things going early when TJ Sneath received a pretty, no-look pass from Brett Johnson from just above the left circle and Sneath put it home to give LVC a 1-0 lead just 44 seconds into the contest. Later in the first, the Dutchmen's potent power-play unit converted when Sneath scored his second of the night from Johnson and Bryan Hovanec to give LVC a 2-0 advantage heading into the second period.

The Dutchmen's dangerous power-play unit struck again at 12:05 of the second when Johnson scored his first of the season off assists by Jared Karas and Cole Hepler. Then, in the third period, Travis Acker got in on the action and netted yet-another power-play tally from Karas and Hepler to put LVC up 4-0. Then, Sneath reached a hat trick when he scored midway through the third period from Hovanec and Justin Hall. With just over five and a half minutes remaining, Danny Galvez officially put the game out of reach when he found the back of the net from Skyler Pugh. Nick Sorgio was magnificent in his collegiate debut, as was LVC's defense in the convincing 6-0 win.
