How It Happened
Lebanon Valley blanked conference foe Albright 4-0 on Saturday afternoon to clinch a MAC Commonwealth Tournament berth. The Dutchmen improved to 9-4-1, 5-1 MACC, while the Lions dropped to 4-9-2, 2-5-1 MACC.

Today also served as Senior Day at Herbert Field, and before the contest, Khup Dal, Jake Kline, Riley Katshir, Kyle Guissanie, Youssef Ouayakhaf, and Ryan Harding were honored.

In the 22nd minute, Kazuya Hirano netted his first goal of the season when he outran an Albright defender and found the back of the net to put the Dutchmen up 1-0. From there until the end of the first half, Sean Quirk and the LVC defense stood tall and kept the Lions off the scoreboard heading into the second half.

In the 47th minute, Guissanie celebrated his senior day in style when Kurtis Rineer delivered a ball to Guissanie inside the box and the senior scored for his second tally of the season to give the Dutchmen some breathing room at 2-0. Then, just seven minutes in the 54th minute, Peter Foerster rocketed a shot from Guissanie into right, back-hand corner of the net to officially put the game out of reach. Then in the 61st minute, Foerster scored his second of the day and third of the season off another assist from Guissanie and the Dutchmen went on to hold for the 4-0 shutout-victory.

Inside the Numbers
 - Foerster finished with a pair of goals for LVC.
 - Guissanie had a goal and added a pair of assists for one of the best games of his career.
 - Quirk made one stop and earned his sixth victory of the season, while Harding came in to relieve Quirk and played the final 28:54 and made one stop.
 - LVC dominated in shots (25-6) and shots on goal (10-2).
 - The Dutchmen had one corner kick and didn't allow Albright to generate any corners.

Clinched!
Today's win helped LVC keep pace with Lycoming, as the two squads are now tied for the No. 2 seed in the MAC Commonwealth. Thanks to a win today, the Dutchmen have clinched a spot in the postseason tournament, but their seed is still yet to be determined.

Who's Next?
On Tuesday, LVC heads to Williamsport to battle Lycoming with the conference's second seed on the line. The match is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
