How It Happened
Lebanon Valley fell victim to Albright's big second half in a 74-59 setback on Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth women's basketball action. The Flying Dutchmen now sit at 8-7, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth, while the Lions jumped to 9-5, 4-1 MAC Commonwealth.

In the opening quarter, LVC kept the game close as Veronica Venezia's jumper with four minutes to go brought the Dutchmen to within two (10-8) of Albright, which has won five out of its last six games, including a win over No. 1 Tufts a few weeks ago. The Lions went on to end the first period on a 9-5 run to take a 19-13 advantage into the second.

In the second quarter, the Dutchmen stayed close with Albright and never let the Lions pull away. Caroline Scarff netted a layup with 5:04 remaining to bring LVC to within six at 29-23, and later, despite the Lions going ahead by 10 (38-28) with 20 ticks left, Becky Evans drilled a 3-pointer with two seconds to go in the half to make it a 38-31 score at halftime.

In the third, the Dutchmen came to as close as five points of Albright when Evans made a layup with 4:32 remaining to make the score 46-41, but the Lions never allowed LVC to get any closer for the remainder of the contest and put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter to hold on for a 74-59 victory.
