HERSHEY, Pa. – For the second-consecutive game, Lebanon Valley was dropped by Neumann by a 7-0 margin on Saturday afternoon in UCHC women's ice hockey action. The Dutchmen now sit at 2-11-2, 1-6-1 UCHC, while the Knights improved to 9-5-2, 7-2-1 UCHC.
Neumann netted four goals in the opening period, including two tallies on the power play.
Emma Stillwaggon,
Morgan Martin, and
Chloe Glass each recorded a shot on goal in the first and had some scoring chances, but the Knights went into the first intermission with a 4-0 advantage.
In the second period, the Dutchmen continued to get shots on net, as
Taylor Brynteson and Amy Templemen each ripped two on net, but again, Neumann's Helen Cooney made every save in the second. The Knights added just one goal in the middle period and it was 5-0 at the end of two periods.
In the final period, Neumann put the game out of reach with a pair of goals, including a short-handed goal and went on to win 7-0, the same margin of yesterday's game between these two squads.
