How It Happened
It was a tale of two halves for Lebanon Valley in the team's 94-82 loss to Arcadia at Sorrentino Gymnasium on Wednesday night, Jan. 10.

After shooting a blistering 62.1 percent from the field during the first 20 minutes, the Flying Dutchmen (11-5, 5-2 MAC Commonwealth) managed just a 35.7 percent shooting clip in the second half. The visiting Knights outscored LVC by 21 points after halftime.

Sam Light scored a team-high 22 points on 5-9 shooting from the field and 9-10 shooting from the foul line, while Andy Orr added another double-double with 15 points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Ricky Bugg was the third Dutchman to reach the double-digit scoring mark with 11 on 3-4 shooting from 3-point range.

After the teams traded the lead 12 times in the opening 12 minutes, Lebanon Valley was able to create some breathing room heading into the break thanks to a 12-4 run in the final 3:49 of the first half. Collin Moore got things started with a runner in the lane before burying a trey to put the Dutchmen ahead by eight a few moments later. Light's free throw in the closing seconds made it 47-38 at the half.

Arcadia (8-7, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth) charged out of the locker room and quickly regained the advantage thanks to a Da'Kquan Davis old-fashioned 3-point play less than five minutes into the second half.

Things turned sour when the Knights put together a 7-0 run that gave the visitors their first double-digit lead of the night with 12:53 left to play.

After trailing by as many as 12, LVC cut the deficit to 71-65 thanks to six consecutive free throws from the combination of Orr and Light. Just as the Dutchmen looked poised to make a push, however, Arcadia went on an 11-2 run over the next 4:49 that essentially put things out of reach.
