How It Happened
SELINSGROVE, Pa. –
Austin Freeman's goal in the 71st minute tied the game with Susquehanna and the game ended in a 1-1 tie on Wednesday evening in non-conference men's soccer action. The Dutchmen moved to 2-1-1, while the River Hawks now sit at 1-3-1.
After Joey Dell'Estate's first-half score in the 32nd minute put Susquehanna ahead 1-0, Freeman brought LVC back to life when he received a pass from
Kazuya Hirano and buried it for his first tally of the season to knot the game at 1-1.
The Dutchmen saw a few scoring opportunities in overtime, beginning in the first extra period when
Matt Prince let off a shot, but it was stopped by the River Hawks' net-minder Matt Ellingworth. In the second overtime, LVC created three corner kicks, but were unable to find the back of the net, resulting in the 1-1 draw.
Inside the Numbers
