How It Happened
Lebanon Valley dropped its fourth game in a row when it fell short of completing the comeback against MAC Commonwealth foe Arcadia in an 8-7 loss at Arnold Field on Wednesday afternoon.

The Flying Dutchmen (6-5, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) never led after the visitors netted the contest's first goal when Tanner Pajakinas found twine in at the 11:13 mark of the first quarter.

Klayton Garman drew LVC even with the Knights when he connected on his first of three markers with 3:05 left in the opening quarter before Arcadia jumped back out in front with a score in the final minute of the period.

LVC answered when Austin Minnich fired his attempt past a Knight defender and into the back of the net early in the second quarter but the visitors took the first multi-goal lead of the day by adding back-to-back markers at the 13:55 and 13:12 marks, respectively.

Kevin Beaver kept his team within striking distance thanks to a strong individual effort that resulted in a goal that cut the deficit to 4-3. Again though, Arcadia had an answer, scoring the next two markers to take a 6-3 advantage into halftime.

The Dutchmen showed signs of life thanks to a pair of goals to begin the second half when Beaver netted his second of the day less than two minutes before Minnich put his second goal of the game past Arcadia's Danny Lipkin with 11:21 left in the third.

The Knights added an insurance goal when Austin Williams found twine with 3:16 remaining in the third before Tanner Pajakinas made it 8-5 with the first score of the fourth. Garman completed the hat trick with back-to-back goals late in the contest but it wasn't enough as the Knights held on down the stretch.
