How It Happened
Lebanon Valley made quick work of MAC Commonwealth foe Hood in an 11-4 victory over the Blazers in the team's regular-season finale at Arnold Field Tuesday afternoon.

Matt Torrence got the scoring started for the Flying Dutchmen (9-7, 3-5 MAC Commonwealth) when he found twine less than four minutes into the game before Brett Kudlak and Alex Bushong went back-to-back midway through the first quarter.

Alexander Elliott ended the Blazers' scoring drought with the team's first goal at the 5:16 mark of the opening quarter but LVC answered when Baker Landon sniped his attempt into the back of the net off a Klayton Garman feed.

Kudlak opened the second quarter with his second marker of the contest off an assist from his running mate in Garman before Hood (8-8, 1-6 MAC Commonwealth) cut the deficit to 5-2 thanks to a Zach Kauffman score with 2:03 left in the half.

From there, the Dutchmen went on a tear to end the second half as Kevin Beaver, Mason Hoff, and Garman all netted goals in the final 1:19 of the opening half to give the home team a commanding 8-2 advantage heading into the break.

Austin Minnich picked up where his team left off in the third quarter when he scored the first of two goals on the day at the 6:53 mark. Eddie Somerville added a score for Hood as the quarter came to an end but Minnich came right back with a marker to begin the fourth quarter.

After Patrick O'Brien converted the Blazers' fourth score of the game midway through the fourth, Kudlak capped the game's scoring to complete his hat trick with 6:53 left to play.
