How It Happened
Klayton Garman had a career day in Lebanon Valley's 18-5 victory at MAC Commonwealth foe Alvernia on Saturday afternoon, April 22.

The senior attack was an offensive machine and set a new program single-game record for goals scored with nine. Not only did he achieve the impressive feat, he did it without missing a shot as he finished a perfect 9-9 on his attempts.

The Flying Dutchmen (8-7, 2-5 MAC Commonwealth) jumped out to a four-goal lead in the first quarter thanks to a score by Matt Torrence and three in a row from Garman.

The Crusaders (3-11, 0-6 MAC Commonwealth) got on the board early in the second quarter when Sam St. Croix found twine but it was all LVC after that. The visitors closed out the first half with nine goals, including four more by Garman. Torrence netted his second of the day, while Austin Minnich, Alex Bushong, and Max Warmingham each converted a marker.

Garman capped LVC's 10-0 run with his eighth of the day off a Torrence feed to begin the third quarter. Austin Farwell connected with Baker Landon who finished it off with a score midway through the quarter and Garman netted his ninth of the contest at the 6:34 mark.

Alvernia converted a pair of man-up goals early in the fourth quarter but the Dutchmen responded by scoring the final two markers of the game. Nate Owsinski and Adam Filbert scored their first tallies of the season off assists from Cooper Gerus and Joe Olives, respectively.
