How It Happened
OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Lebanon Valley split a pair of games at Stevenson University on Friday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth baseball action. In the opener, the Dutchmen came from behind yet again to down the Mustangs 8-5.
After Stevenson crossed the plate twice in the bottom of the first, the Dutchmen struck for three in the top of the second.
Chase Weik's sacrifice fly brought LVC to within one, then
Zac Edwards ripped a two-RBI single up the middle to score
Joshua Herring and
Colin Albright to put the Dutchmen on top at 3-2.
In the top of the fourth, Edwards increased LVC's advantage to 4-2 with an RBI-single to left, but Stevenson responded when Jordan Moore scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the frame to come to within one.
Philip Berry put LVC back ahead by two at 5-3 with an RBI-double on a 3-1 count in the fifth, but again the Mustangs came to within one at 5-4 with a Kevin Kopas double in the bottom of the fifth.
In the sixth, Marshall Kiessling singled home
Chris DeClerico for the 6-4 lead and in the top of the seventh, Edwards continued his strong day with a single to center field that platted two more Dutchmen, putting the game out of reach and giving LVC the eventual 8-5 win.
Inside the Numbers (Game One)
 - Edwards went 3-for-4 with a season-high five RBI, while Herring went 2-for-4 and scored twice.

Michael Houseal (1-2) threw four innings and pitched well enough to earn the win. He allowed three earned and fanned two batters.

How It Happened
In the nightcap, the Dutchmen lost a heartbreaker, as they held a 6-3 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh, however the Mustangs scored three in the seventh to tie the game and eventually won with a walk-off single by Kevin Kopas on a 3-2 pitch in the bottom of the eighth. LVC now sits at 16-12, 8-7 MAC Commonwealth, while the Mustangs moved to 14-18, 6-9 MAC Commonwealth.
LVC got on the board early in the second game when Kiessling homered down the right field line to score
Michael Puglisi and make it a 2-0 contest. In the third, DeClerico hit an RBI-groundout to make it 3-0, but John D'Aquanno tripled home two in the bottom of the third to bring Stevenson to within one at 3-2.
In the fifth, an RBI-groundout from Kiessling made it 4-2 LVC, and in the sixth,
Chase Weik's double brought home Albright and Berry to make it a 6-2 contest. After the Mustangs made it 6-3 in the sixth, they erupted for three in the bottom of the seventh to send the game to extras where Kopas' single with one out in the bottom of the eighth gave Stevenson the win.
Inside the Numbers (Game Two)
 - Kiessling finished game two with a 2-for-4 line with three RBI and Weik added two RBI.
 - Albright and Weik each hit a double for LVC.
 - Edwards was 1-for-3 with a stolen base and two runs scored.
 - Marcelli got the start and threw 5.2 innings and allowed three earned while striking out a season-best six hitters.
 - LVC remains in the fourth for the final MAC Commonwealth playoff spot. The Dutchmen are two games ahead of Stevenson with three games against Widener and three versus Albright remaining in conference action.
