How It Happened
Lebanon Valley ended its recent skid when the team picked up its first conference victory of the season thanks to an 11-6 win at MAC Commonwealth foe Lycoming on Thursday afternoon.

The Flying Dutchmen (7-6, 1-4 MAC Commonwealth) blew open a tight contest when they scored six of the game's final seven goals, including five in a row during a span that stretched the end of the third and beginning of the fourth quarters, respectively.

With the score tied 5-5 midway through the third quarter, it was Mason Hoff who got LVC's scoring run started thanks to a marker off an Austin Minnich assist at the 7:49 mark. Max Warmingham followed with a goal less than two minutes later off a Brett Kudlak feed before Klayton Garman opened the fourth-quarter scoring with his second of the day off another Kudlak look.

Matt Torrence made it 9-5 when he finished off a Garman pass with 10:50 remaining and Hoff found twine for the second time in as many quarters at the 9:12 mark; this time with the assist coming courtesy of Warmingham.

The Warriors (4-7, 2-3 MAC Commonwealth) finally stopped the bleeding when Connor Riorden scored his first goal of the season with 7:26 left to play but Kudlak pushed the lead back to five for LVC when he took a pass from his running mate in Garman and put his shot into the back of the net to cap the contest's scoring with 58 seconds remaining.

The Dutchmen were paced by Kevin Beaver's hat trick in the first half and took a 5-4 advantage into the break. Lyco scored the game's first goal before Garman's man-up marker drew the visitors early in the first quarter.
