How It Happened
FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Lebanon Valley put it all together on Tuesday afternoon, earning two victories over Immaculata (5-4, 5-2) in non-conference baseball action. With the two wins, the Dutchmen now sit at 3-3, while the Mighty Macs dropped to 1-3.

In the first contest, LVC broke the scoreless game when Chase Weik hit a sacrifice fly to score Marshall Kiessling in the top of the second, then Christopher DeClerico grounded in a double play, but Bryan Towers scored from third, giving the Dutchmen a 2-0 advantage in the top of the third. Later, with starting pitcher Dylan Stephen cruising along, LVC added two more in the top of the sixth when Declerico scored on a wild pitch, followed by a bases-loaded walk from Nick O'Shea, making it 4-0.

Immaculata, however, refused to go away and struck for four runs in the bottom of the sixth, chasing Stephen out of the game. Unfazed after the Mighty Macs came back to tie things up, Michael Puglisi doubled to left field to begin the top of the seventh and DeClerico followed with a bunt single, pushing Puglisi to third base. Kiessling came up next and he smoked a ball that got hung up by the wind allowing Immaculata's center field to catch it, but Puglisi scored from the third on what proved to be the game-winning run. Kiessling finished off the Mighty Macs on the mound in the bottom of the frame to earn the first victory of his career.

How It Happened
In game two, after Marcelli held the Mighty Macs off the scoreboard in the top of the first, the Dutchmen tallied three runs in the bottom of the inning, beginning with a two-RBI double off the bat of Kiessling. Later in the inning, O'Shea hit an RBI-grounded out to score Kiessling to give LVC an early 3-0 advantage.

In the bottom of the second with Joshua Herring on first, Puglisi launched a ball over the left field fence to increase LVC's lead to 5-0. That was plenty for Marcelli, who was fabulous in his first-ever start. He gave up two late runs, but the Dutchmen still went on to win 5-2 to earn the sweep.
