How It Happened
Klayton Garman provided the bulk of the offense for Lebanon Valley in its 8-7 come-from-behind, nail-biter of a victory over Ferrum at Arnold Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Flying Dutchmen (6-1) found themselves in some trouble midway through the third quarter when Travis Murray's unassisted goal put the Panthers (4-6) ahead 5-2 with 8:22 left in the period.

From there, Garman took over, cutting the deficit to two when he gathered a loose ball off a save by Ferrum goalkeeper Shane Walker and converted a man-up goal at the 7:41 mark. If you blinked, you missed his next score as it took just 37 seconds for Garman to find the back of the net again, drawing LVC to within 5-4 heading into the final 15 minutes.

Max Warmingham was the first Dutchman other than Garman to find twine and his marker early in the fourth quarter was the equalizer. Kevin Beaver gave LVC its first lead since the opening minutes of the second quarter when he went low to convert and make it 6-5 with 5:44 remaining.

The Panthers refused to go away and Ryan Tesler recorded a hat trick and tied things up when he put his attempt into the back of the net with 4:17 left.

Beaver came through again when his second score of the day little more than a minute later put the Dutchmen back on top and Courtland Hackel's ensuing face-off victory led to Garman's fifth goal of the day, the eventual game-winner, off a Brett Kudlak assist with 3:02 remaining.

CJ Asmus drew the visitors to within one score with a goal at the 2:20 mark but Lebanon Valley's defense held strong in the closing moments. Blake Weaver came away with a ground ball in the final seconds to seal the team's fifth win in a row.
