How It Happened
ASTON, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's men's ice hockey team finally broke through and picked up its first ECACW win of the season, defeating Neumann University 3-1 on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchmen jumped to 4-16-2, 1-10-1 ECACW, while the Knights slipped to 13-7-2, 5-6-0 ECACW.

With the game knotted at 1-1 7:16 into the third period, Johannes Sallila was called for goaltender interference, putting LVC on the power play. Then, less than a minute later, Nick Skerlick found the back of the net off assists from Brett Johnson and Cole Hepler, giving the Dutchmen the 2-1 advantage. Just over six minutes later, at 14:12, Travis Acker provided LVC with a cushion when he scored from Bryan Hovanec and Zach Yingst, as LVC went on to joust the Knights and pick up its first-ever NCAA DIII conference win.

The game was scoreless until the second period when PJ Hefferin scored at 7:01 from Brad Nolan to break the 0-0 stalemate. Neumann struck back, however, at 16:29 of the second when Collin O'Neil scored against Joel Eisenhower. The game was knotted until Skerlick's goal in the third, which proved to be the game-winner.

Inside the Numbers
 - Eisenhower was outstanding, making 44 saves for the Dutchmen. Anthony Pupplo was charged with the loss and made 29 stops.
