How It Happened
SHELTON, Conn. – Lebanon Valley's women's ice hockey team defeated Post University 4-1 on Saturday night. The Dutchmen jumped to 3-17 and the Eagles remained winless on the season and dropped to 0-20.
With each team participating in the NCAA for the first time ever, LVC got the upper hand on the Eagles, just like it did back in November when the Dutchmen defeated Post 5-1 and 6-2 on Nov. 12 and 13 inside Hersheypark Arena.

Tonight, after Post scored the game's opening goal, LVC exploded for four unanswered goals. Kendall Fitzgerald scored for the Eagles with just over six minutes left in the first, but Eleanor Donaher evened the score with just under two minutes remaining off assists from Taylor Borrelli and Elaine Tarasiewicz and the two teams went into the first intermission locked at 1-1.

Then in the second period, just over five minutes into it, Nikki Lloyd notched an unassisted goal, which would later prove to be the game-winner. Just over a minute later, Lloyd netted her second of the game from Madision Humes to put the Dutchmen up 3-1, and midway through the third period, MacKenzie Bokina added a goal that put the icing on the cake, and it also gave Lloyd her third point of the game thanks to a helper.

Inside the Numbers
 - Bokina ripped 10 shots on net, while Donaher added nine, Lloyd had eight, and Liz D'Ginto chipped in five.
 - Donaher, Lloyd, Borrelli, and Rachel Havrylkoff all skated with a +2 rating.
 - Jillian Moffatt saw far less shots than she's used to, but picked up the win nonetheless, making 29 saves.
 - Post's Jenna Baumgartner made 35 stops for the Eagles.
 - The Eagles held a slight edge in faceoff wins at 29-28 with D'Ginto winning 15 of LVC's 28.
