How It Happened
BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – Lebanon Valley suffered an 8-3 setback at the hands of Bryn Athyn on Friday night in non-conference men's ice hockey action. The Dutchmen fell to 2-4-1, while the Lions improved to 5-4.

Despite tonight's result, it was LVC who got on the board first, as Bryan Hovanec netted a goal on the power-play from Cole Hepler at 9:07 to give the Dutchmen an early 1-0 lead. Bryn Athyn answered by scoring seven straight goals that spanned into the third period. The Lions scored three times in the first, including a power-play goal, and they added three more in the second, including two on the man-advantage and another short-handed tally.

Early on in the third, Bryn Athyn scored to make it 7-1, but at 6:40, the Dutchmen got one back when Hepler scored on the power-play from Brett Johnson and Zach Balodis to cut into the Lions' lead at 7-2. At 11:27, Bryn Athyn found the back of the net to make it 8-2, followed by Brennan Thompson's goal just 20 seconds later from Balodis and Nick Skerlick.
