How It Happened
REISTERSTOWN, Md. – Four power-play goals guided Stevenson to a 7-1 win over Lebanon Valley on Friday night in UCHC and MAC men's ice hockey action. The Dutchmen fell to 0-1-0, 0-1-0 UCHC/MAC, while the Mustangs improved to 1-0-1, 1-0-0 UCHC/MAC.
Stevenson netted three first period goals, with the first coming from Colton McMenamin 9:18 into the period. Two PP-goals followed, as Mike Davis and Bruce Stachitas each found the back of the net at 13:13 and 16:12, respectively, giving the Mustangs a three-goal advantage heading into the first intermission.
Just 1:53 into the second period, LVC got one back when
Kevin Van Bokkelen netted the first goal of his career, while
TJ Sneath picked up his first point as a Dutchmen with an assist, and
Mike Straub was also credited with an assist on the score. That was the only offense that the Dutchmen were able to muster, however, as Stevenson went on to score four more times throughout the rest of the second and the third period, including two goals on the man-advantage.

Jared Karas recorded five shots, while
Brett Johnson added four and Straub chipped in three.

Bryan Hovanec added a shot and was a 1 on the evening.

Joel Eisenhower got the start between the pipes and made 31 saves.
 - Stevenson's Jacob Caffrey made 26 stops.

Brennan Thompson was 7-for-11 from inside the faceoff circle and
Cole Hepler was 6-for-9.
 - The teams tied in total faceoff wins at 34-34.
