How It Happened
HERSHEY, Pa. – Senior Nikki Lloyd registered two goals to lead Lebanon Valley's women's ice hockey team to a 4-2 win over King's (Pa.) on Saturday afternoon in MAC and UCHC action. The Dutchmen improved to 2-2-1, 1-0 MAC / 1-0 UCHC, while the Monarchs dropped to 0-5, 0-3 MAC / 0-3 UCHC.

After Josee Aitken began the scoring with a goal 2:01 into the first, Lloyd netted her first of the game at 10:11 on the power play from Morgan Martin to even the score at 1-1, a score that held up heading into the first intermission.

At 8:41 in the second period, LVC netted another power-play goal when Amy Templeman let off a shot from the point that the Monarchs' goalie never saw, off assists from Taylor Brynteson and Martin, to put the Dutchmen ahead 2-1. Under three minutes later, Emma Stillwaggon scored on even strength from Chloe Glass, and LVC went into the third period with a two-goal advantage at 3-1.

5:08 into the third, King's came to within a goal when Mary Deyell found the back of the net, however nearly two minutes later, Lloyd found the back of the net off an assist from Taylor Borrelli, and the Dutchmen were able to hang out and come away with the 4-2 win.
