How It Happened
Good luck topping that one.

In a game that included six cards, three penalty strokes, and one blackout, it was Olivia Poltonavage who stole the show. Her penalty stroke with 5:25 left in the second overtime ended Lebanon Valley's recent skid and gave her squad a thrilling 2-1 double OT victory over FDU-Florham at a wet Arnold Field on Wednesday night.

The Flying Dutchmen (4-9) were awarded the stroke when Cecile Kat was fouled attempting to convert the game-winner from point-blank range. After netting a penalty stroke earlier in the contest, Poltonavage entered the game and ended her stellar outing by firing her shot into the lower right corner of the cage to seal the win and send the Dutchmen into a frenzy.

Poltonavage's first score came with 9:03 remaining in the first half and drew LVC even with the Devils (10-4) after Marissa Kowalksie put the visitors on the board first when she put away her attempt off a centering pass from Brooke Sherwin in the game's 19th minute.

Extra time loomed large in this one but it was a play by LVC goalkeeper Tori ByDeLey late in the second half that proved to be the turning point. FDU was awarded a penalty stroke with 11:44 left to play and when Marie Pietracatella went high with her attempt, ByDeLey proved game by knocking it down and keeping the score tied down the stretch.

Standouts
Olivia Poltonavage, Tori ByDeLey – Poltonavage couldn't have picked a better night to score her second and third goals of the season, respectively. Her penalty-stroke conversions proved all the offense LVC needed thanks to a stellar night from ByDeLey in goal, as the keeper made a season-high 15 saves in earning the victory.
