How It Happened
Albright pulled away late to down Lebanon Valley 74-57 on Saturday afternoon in women's basketball MAC Commonwealth action. The Lions jumped to 10-3, 5-0 MACC and the Dutchmen fell to 6-9, 3-3 MACC.
With LVC up 29-28 with 8:57 remaining in the third quarter, Albright began a 20-10 run that spanned eight minutes, resulting in a 48-39 advantage with 52 seconds left. The Lions held a lead at 50-43 heading into the fourth. At 7:47 of the final quarter, two good free throws by
Lexie Lantz brought LVC to within five at 52-47, however a quick 12-3 spurt put Albright's lead back into double digits at 64-50 with 4:51 remaining. The Dutchmen were unable to stop the Lions and Albright went on to win 74-57.
LVC began the game on a 10-3 run, capped off by a
Jennifer Eck layup. A quick four points brought the Lions to within four at 10-7, but the Dutchmen responded with a 6-0 run to go up 16-7. A quarter of runs saw one more, this time from Albright as the Lions scored the quarter's final six points and LVC held the 16-13 lead after one period of action.
The Dutchmen started the second by scoring the first six points to increase its lead to nine at 22-13 with 9:06 to go, however the Lions responded by netting nine in a row to tie things up at 22-22 with 6:51 remaining. The score remained close until
Morgan Bamberger knocked down a 3-pointer with 42 seconds to go, giving LVC a 29-24 lead heading into halftime.

Jasmine Copeland scored a career-high 14 points to lead LVC. She went 6-for-8 from the floor and added five rebounds.

Hilary Yoh was in double digits in points again with 12 and Lantz chipped in 10.
 - Albright's Shannon Thomas (17), Nina Mazzarelli (16), Alysha Lofton (16) and Jane Joyce (14) were in double digits in points. Lofton added 13 boards for the double-double.
 - The Lions led in total rebound at 37-32 and Albright shot 46-percent from the field compared to LVC's 41.7-percent.

MAC Commonwealth action continues for LVC on Wednesday when the Dutchmen head to Glenside for a 6 p.m. matchup with Arcadia.
