How It Happened
SHELTON, Conn. – Lebanon Valley defeated Post University for the second time in as many days, guided by Nick Skerlick's hat trick and Tyler Perhac's first career start and win between the pipes on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchmen improved to 3-8-2, while the Eagles fell to 0-8.

Post's Matt Moreschi began the scoring this afternoon just 2:47 into the game, but LVC responded with three consecutive goals in the first period, starting Skerlick's first tally of the game from Brennan Thompson and Cody Pessig at 8:18. Later, at 10:46 and LVC on the power play, Brett Johnson found the back of the net off assists from Cole Hepler and Brad Nolan, making it 2-1. Then, at 16:04, Skerlick netted his second of the game from Thompson, giving the Dutchmen a 3-1 lead after one period of action.

The Eagles came to within a goal when Trevor Buchas scored at 11:20 of the second, however LVC's potent power play struck again and this time, Thompson scored from Nolan and Johnson to put the Dutchmen back up by two at 4-2 at 14:00 of the second, which was the score that stood heading into the third.

3:24 into the third period, LVC went up 5-2 when Jared Karas scored another PP goal and later with just 37 seconds to go, Skerlick reached the hat trick when he scored on yes, you guessed it, the power play. Post scored with a second remaining but it was nowhere near enough, as LVC went on to win 6-3.
