Lyco Pulls Away Late to Down Dutchmen

How It Happened
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lebanon Valley dropped a 72-56 MAC Commonwealth contest to Lycoming College on Wednesday night in women's basketball action. The Dutchmen fell to 6-8, 3-2 MACC, while the Warriors jumped to 9-4, 3-2 MACC.

Coming out of the halftime break down 27-24, LVC's Becky Evans knocked down a triple to tie the game at 27-27. Lyco responded with a mini 6-0 run and went up by six at 33-27 with 8:24 left in the third. The Warriors maintained their advantage, however the Dutchmen were still within striking distance at 43-39 at the end of the third.

Lyco, however, was able to begin to pull away early in the fourth, opening up the quarter on an impressive 18-2 run, to go up by 16 points at 57-41. The Warriors would not allow LVC to get any closer and went to take the win 72-56.

Inside the Numbers
 - Evans returned from injury and scored a game-high 19 points, while dishing out five assists and recording three steals in 35 minutes of action.
 - Hilary Yoh added 11 points for the Dutchmen and Morgan Bamberger scored a career-high 11 points in 20 minutes of action.
 - Lexie Lantz chipped in eight points and was dominant on the boards, bringing down a game-high 15 rebounds.
 - For Lyco, Nicole Calella (18), Akilah McFadden (15), Kayla Kline (12), and Shelby Mueller (11) were all in double-digits in points with Calella and McFadden each notching six assists.

LVC welcomes Albright to Sorrentino Gymnasium on Saturday for a 3 p.m. MAC Commonwealth contest.
