SHELTON, Conn. – Sacred Heart scored two first-period goals en route to a 4-1 win over Lebanon Valley in women's ice hockey action on Friday night. The Pioneers improved to 17-8-1, while the Dutchmen slipped to 2-15.
Sacred Heart first got on the board when Olivia Bryant scored at 7:02 of the first, and three and a half minutes later, Megan Finlay netted a goal to make it 4-2 Pioneers. They added another goal in the second and one more in the third period before
Nikki Lloyd tipped in
Eleanor Donaher's slap shot late in the third to put LVC on the board at 4-1. The Dutchmen, however, went on to take the 3-1 defeat.
Inside the Numbers
 - Lloyd netted her team-leading sixth goal of the season, while Donaher registered her seventh assist of the season, which leads the team.

Jillian Moffatt was again stellar, making 70 saves for the Dutchmen.
 - Devan Kane earned the win for the Pioneers, making three saves.
 - Sacred Heart held the edge in faceoff wins at 44-22.
