How It Happened
SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass. – For the second time in as many days, Lebanon Valley's women's ice hockey team fell narrowly to Becker College, this time by a 2-1 score on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks jumped to 7-9-2 and the Dutchmen slipped to 2-14.
After the first period went scoreless, Kate Hamilton broke the 0-0 tie 2:20 into the second period with a goal, however LVC's defense was able to keep Becker off the scoreboard for the remainder of the period and was only down 1-0 going into the third period.
In the third, Bailey Coons put the Hawks ahead 2-0 with 9:10 to go and
Liz D'Ginto scored her second goal in as many days, however she scored with just 19 ticks left on the clock, and the Dutchmen were unable to complete the comeback.
Inside the Numbers
 - D'Ginto is now tied with
Nikki Lloyd for the team lead in goals with five.
 - Moffatt got the start again for LVC and made 40 saves.
 - Becker won the faceoff battle 38-29.

LVC's five-game road trip continues this Friday when the Dutchmen travel to Fairfield, Conn. to take on Sacred Heart University at 7:30 p.m.
