How It Happened
A big second period was the catalyst for Brockport's 8-1 victory over Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 14.  

The Flying Dutchmen (3-11-2) held the home team to just one goal in the opening 20 minutes, a Brian Hurlimann power play score at the 14:33 mark, before the Golden Eagles (6-8-1) exploded for five goals in the second period.

Dylan Shapiro added the first goal of the third period seven minutes into the session before Cole Hepler got LVC on the board with an unassisted power play score two minutes later, cutting the deficit to 6-1 with 10:05 left to play.

Brockport responded with its seventh goal of the day a minute and a half later before Jake Taylor capped the game's scoring with a marker with 4:38 remaining.

Inside the Numbers
- Brockport won 42 face offs, while the Dutchmen were successful on 33 of them.
- Cole Hepler was victorious on a team-high 10 face offs to go along with LVC's only score.
- Brenden Manquen made 32 saves in net for Lebanon Valley, while Brockport's Jake Moore made 30 stops in earning the victory.
- Each team was whistled for seven penalties.
- Jake Taylor led the way for the Golden Eagles, scoring a pair of goals and adding an assist.
- Seven different players netted at least one goal for Brockport in the win.
- Saturday's game was just the third this season in which LVC allowed eight or more goals.

Who's Next?
After four consecutive road games, the Dutchmen return to the friendly confines of Hersheypark Arena to host Buffalo State on Friday night, Jan. 20.
