How It Happened
CORTLAND, N.Y. – Lebanon Valley's volleyball squad split a pair of matches at the second and final day of the Cortland Red Dragon Classic, hosted by Cortland University, on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchmen fell to the Coast Guard by a 3-0 margin before sweeping Wells College 3-0 in the nightcap to earn their first win of the young season. LVC moved its record on the season to 1-3.
Stats Against the Bears
In the matchup against the Coast Guard, 
Amanda Sides and 
Jess Attieh each notched five kills, while 
Nicole Werner and 
Erin Koons had two service aces apiece. Attieh added three blocks and 
Greta Weidemoyer recorded nine assists and 13 digs, while Werner added nine digs.
For the Bears, Susan West had a match-high 16 kills and Hailye Reynolds finished with 32 assists with Michelle McGill digging out 25 balls.
Stats Against Wells
In the win over the Express, Attieh led the offensive attack with a match-high 11 kills, while Weidemoyer chipped in eight and 
Reina Eckman added five. Sides had five aces and Weidemoyer finished with 23 assists. 
Morgan Webb dug out 23 balls and 
Abbey Barnhart added five more digs.
Weidemoyer Named All-Tournament
Thanks to her efforts, Weidemoyer was named to the All-Tournament squad.
Who's Next?
LVC is set for its 2016 home opener on Wednesday when the Dutchmen open MAC Commonwealth action with Widener at 7 p.m. at Sorrentino Gymnasium.
