How It Happened
Riley Jo Evitts broke a scoreless score in the 56th minute in what proved to be the game-winning goal, pushing Lebanon Valley past King's (Pa.) by a 1-0 score on Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's soccer action. The Dutchmen won their fourth-straight game and improved to 6-1-0, while the Lady Monarchs slipped to 3-4-0.

In the 56th minute, Evitts received a pass from Teanna Shutt in the box and slipped through a few King's defenders and knocked it past the goalie's right side to score the game's first goal.

LVC's defense was strong throughout the first half and did not allow many scoring opportunities for the Lady Monarchs. The offense also did their job of keeping the ball in King's zone for the majority of the opening half.

The Lady Monarchs upped their pressure significantly in the second, but the Dutchmen defense made up of Kristen Robeson, Emmie Santoleri, and Cheyanne Scott, as well as the tremendous play from Taylor Reinhold, kept King's off the scoreboard, resulting in LVC's win.

Inside the Numbers

 - Reinhold made three saves in her sixth victory of the season.
 - King's goalie Jess Schenfeld kept her team in the game and made eight saves on the afternoon.
