VB Sweeps at Dutchmen Quad

First Match: Lebanon Valley def. Penn State Altoona 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-23)

Second Match: Lebanon Valley def. Rowan 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-18)

Lebanon Valley blanked Penn St.-Altoona and Rowan by a 3-0 score to sweep the second and final day of the Dutchmen Quad. With the two victories, the Dutchmen jumped to 4-4 on the season.

How It Happened Against Altoona
In the first match against the Lions, the Dutchmen took the first two sets comfortably and in the third set, LVC built a big lead at 22-14, and despite a furious end of the third set by Altoona, the Dutchmen were able to hang on and take the third set 25-23 to win the match.

Inside the Numbers
 - Greta Weidemoyer was dominant for LVC and recorded volleyball's version of a triple double, notching 12 kills, 17 assists, and 12 digs.
 - Jess Attieh was in double digits in kills with 10, while Amber Deshong added eight.
 - Erin Koons paced the Dutchmen in assists with 19 and Melanie Phifer and Abbey Barnhart each registered 12 digs.

How It Happened Against Rowan
The Dutchmen's offense continued to click on all cylinders and LVC breezed through Rowan, who fell to 1-7 on the season. The Dutchmen notched 13 kills in each of the first two sets and 15 more in the third set at a .429 clip.

Inside the Numbers
 - Deshong led with 11 kills with Amanda Sides added nine and Weidemoyer chipping in eight.
 - Nina Mentzer had three blocks.
 - Koons and Weidemoyer were each in double digits in assists at 19 and 18, respectively.
 - Phifer dug out 15 balls in the win and Abbey Barnhart notched 11.

Who's Next?
LVC hits the road for five straight away matches, beginning with a MAC Commonwealth clash with Hood on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
