How It HappenedGRANTHAM, Pa. – Lebanon Valley dropped a pair of contests to Messiah on Sunday afternoon. The Falcons took game one by an 11-1 score before edging the Dutchmen 3-1 in the nightcap. LVC's record now sits at 12-15, 5-7 MAC Commonwealth, while Messiah improved to 12-16, 6-6 MAC Commonwealth.
Due to the snow yesterday, the double header was forced to move to Messiah where LVC played as the home team in both games.
In the first game, the Falcons scored a run in the first before sending 12 men to plate in their nine-run third inning to take a 10-0 lead. Messiah went on to take the game by an 11-1 score.

Michael Puglisi led the offense with a 2-for-3 day at the plate and one RBI.

How It HappenedThe Falcons came out on top in a 3-1 pitchers' duel in the second game. Messiah's Josh Good singled home Ben Sollenberger and Joseph Saufley in the top of the third and Sollenberger later homered in the fourth to give Messiah a 3-0 advantage. In the bottom of the fifth, Puglisi hit a sacrifice fly to score
Zach Smith, however the Dutchmen were unable to push any more runs across the board and fell 3-1.

Colin Albright,
Philip Berry, and Z. Smith each had a hit for LVC.

Corey Sell (1-3) pitched well but was charged with the loss. He went the full seven innings and gave up three earned runs with one strikeout.
