How It Happened
Brett Fundell hit a walkoff single in extra innings to give Lebanon Valley a 6-5 win in game one and the Dutchmen offense exploded for 15 hits en route to a 10-2 victory over the Lions in game two as LVC swept Albright on Friday afternoon at McGill Field. The Dutchmen took the season series 3-0 over Albright and improved to 9-10, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth, while the Lions dropped to 3-11, 0-6 MAC Commonwealth.

Game One
The Dutchmen wasted no time scoring runs in the first game as Fundell hit an RBI-single to center field in the bottom of the first, followed by a Greg Orlando two-RBI single up the middle for the early 3-0 advantage. In the top of the second, the Lions got one back with a sacrifice fly, but LVC extended its lead in the fourth when Ross Drawbaugh singled down the right field line to plate Orlando and Zac Edwards reached on a fielder's choice that score Zach Smith for the 5-1 lead.

Casey Wall was cruising through the Lions' lineup until he ran into trouble in the sixth. Zachary Krause singed home Micah Storm to make it 5-2 and later in the inning, Jesse Fikslin hit a bases-clearing double to right center that tied the game at 5-5.

Neither team could break the tie in the seven regulation innings, so the game went into extras and in the bottom of the ninith, Michael Puglisi started the inning by getting hit by a pitch. After he advanced to second on a passed ball, Colin Albright bunted him over to third to put the winning run just 90 feet away. Fundell was up next, and the senior sent a 2-1 pitch to right center for a single that scored Puglisi and gave the Dutchmen the 6-5 thrilling win.
