How It HappenedFROSTBURG, Md. – Lebanon Valley dropped its 2016 season opener to Frostburg St. by an 11-2 score on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchmen slipped to 0-1, while the Bobcats jumped to 2-0.
Brett Kudlak got the game's scoring started by finding the back of the net with 5:49 remaining the first quarter, however Frostburg answered with five straight to take a 5-1 advantage with 4:32 left in the second quarter.
Later in the second, with 2:19 left, Kudlak dodged two defenders and slipped his shot through traffic for his second goal that cut the deficit to 5-2.
Coming out of halftime, it was all Bobcats throughout the third and fourth quarters, as Frostburg scored five in the third and one in the fourth to earn the 11-2 win.
Inside the Numbers - Kudlak paced the offense with two goals on four shots, while
Koty Keefer had six shots on goal.
