How It Happened
The balanced attack provided by Lebanon Valley's starting five was too much for Stevenson to overcome in the Flying Dutchmen's 64-56 road win on Wednesday night.

Andy Orr posted his eighth double-double of the season, Zach Mrozek led the charge in the first half, Sam Light reached the double-digit scoring mark, Will Boccanfuso grabbed 10 rebounds, and Travis Conrad dished out a game-high six assists.

The effort earned LVC (13-9, 7-6 MAC Commonwealth) a pivotal conference victory over league rival Stevenson (8-14, 6-7 MAC Commonwealth) and ended the team's recent three-game skid.

Clinging to a 53-52 lead with 2:56 left to play, Conrad picked the pocket of the Mustangs' Erik Fisher, leading to a pair of Light free throws on the other end. The Dutchmen scored the game's next five points as Orr sandwiched three foul shots around a Mrozek jumper, giving LVC an eight-point advantage it wouldn't relinquish with 1:16 remaining.

A Light layup at the 6:27 mark gave Lebanon Valley a 50-43 lead but Stevenson responded with an 8-0 run to pull ahead with 4:25 left. The Dutchmen answered with a crucial 9-1 spurt, putting the home team in a hole with little more than a minute remaining. Light, Conrad, and Orr converted from the charity stripe down the stretch to put the game on ice.

The tight contest saw the teams trade one-point leads on seven occasions to begin the second half after the squads took a 29-29 deadlock into the break.

The Dutchmen never trailed in the first half and led by as many as eight points in the opening 20 minutes, spurred on by Mrozek's 11 points on 50 percent shooting before halftime.

It Was Over When…
Andy Orr buried a pair of free throws with 1:16 remaining to increase the LVC advantage to 60-52. His foul shots capped a clutch 9-1 Lebanon Valley run. The Mustangs fouled in the final minute but Orr and Travis Conrad converted from the line to seal the all-important MAC Commonwealth victory.
