How It Happened
It was all Lebanon Valley in the team's 76-60 victory over Brooklyn on day one of the Land of Magic Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla. on Wednesday night, Dec. 28.

The Flying Dutchmen (7-5) led wire to wire after jumping out to a 10-0 lead to begin the contest. The run was bookended by three-pointers from Travis Conrad and Andy Orr, with the big man netting nine of the team's first 12 points.

LVC's advantage increased to 16 midway through the opening half following a layup by Will Boccanfuso and a Sam Light trey on back-to-back possessions.

The Dutchmen grabbed their largest lead of the half at 21 on three separate occasions when Collin Moore converted a pair of free throws at the 3:48 mark, when Light knocked down a jumper 30 seconds later, and when Caleb Barwin buried a triple to give LVC a 47-26 advantage at the break.

Orr netted the first four points of the second half to give Lebanon Valley its largest lead of the night at 25 points before the Bulldogs (3-7) cut the deficit to less than 20 when Grant Maynard IV converted a pair from the foul line with 16 minutes left to play.

Any shred of Brooklyn momentum was erased when Luke Stambaugh connected from beyond the arc to make it 62-39 with 8:39 remaining, while a pair of layups by Orr and a couple of Light jump shots put the game on ice.

The LVC reserves got into the scoring act and Andrew Eberhart put an exclamation point on the victory with a dunk off a Chris Anderson assist with 1:22 left to play.
