How It Happened
SCRANTON, Pa. –
Hilary Yoh netted a career-high 22 points, however Lebanon Valley's comeback fell just short as Marywood University downed Lebanon Valley 54-46 in non-conference women's basketball action on Monday night. The Dutchmen now sit at 5-5, while the Pacers are also now 5-5.
Marywood controlled action early and opened up the game on a 14-2 run. LVC responded with a 9-0 run, capped off by a good free throw by
Anne Lehr, to cut the Pacers' lead to 14-11 with 49 seconds left in the first. Marywood scored four consecutive points to go into the second quarter up by seven at 18-11.
In the second, the Dutchmen began the quarter on a 9-3 run to come to within a point at 21-20 with 5:50 left in the quarter. Then, with 5:20 to go, LVC tied the game when
Morgan Bamberger knocked down a trey to make it a 23-20 game. For the remainder of the quarter, both defenses locked down the opposing team and a late jumper from Lisa Steakin gave the Pacers a narrow 25-23 advantage heading into halftime.
At 7:26 of the third,
Hilary Yoh hit a jumper to tie the contest again, this time at 28-28, however Marywood went up and never looked back, taking a 39-32 lead going into the final quarter. In the fourth, the Dutchmen were unable to mount a comeback, as Yoh's jumper with 1:49 remaining put LVC within six at 52-46, but they were unable to get any closer.
Inside the Numbers
- Yoh's 22 points were a career-high for the senior captain. She also brought down six rebounds and added four steals in 37 minutes of action.

Lexie Lantz chipped in eight points and recorded 12 boards, while Lehr finished wth seven points.

Jennifer Eck registered nine rebounds.
- For the Pacers, Catie Nealon (14), Erika Thomas (12), and Natasha Hessling (11) were all in double digits in points.
- The Dutchmen recorded 24 points off turnovers.
