How It Happened
Sacred Heart scored six first-period goals en route to an 11-1 win over Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon at Hersheypark Arena. The Dutchmen went to 0-4-0, while the Pioneers jumped to 4-4-0.
LVC was put in a big hole after one period of action with SHU scoring six in the first. Taylor Moreland scored twice, while four other Pioneers added goals. Two minutes into the second period, while on the power play,
Liz D'Ginto cut into SHU's lead with a power play goal from
Eleanor Donaher.
The Pioneers would add two more goals in second to go along with three in the third for the 11-1 victory.
Inside the Numbers
 - D'Ginto paced the Dutchmen's offense with six shots, while Donaher,
Nicole Lloyd, and
Savannah Knoble added two shots on goal apiece.
 - Starting goalie
Victoria Lahey made 11 stops and
Alexa Kanakry came in for relief for two periods and made 29 saves for LVC.
 - D'Ginto went 20-for-33 from the faceoff circle and total faceoffs were tied between the two squads at 33-33.

LVC welcomes Post University to Hersheypark Arena next weekend for two games. The Dutchmen take on Post on Saturday night at 7 p.m. before hosting them again at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
