How It Happened
Lebanon Valley made quick work of Widener in a 78-55 victory over the Pride in the team's MAC Commonwealth opener at Sorrentino Gymnasium on Wednesday night, Nov. 30.

Marquis Davis sparked the Flying Dutchmen (3-3, 1-0 MAC Commonwealth) in the first half when he knocked down three triples in the opening moments to put LVC ahead 13-9 at the 10:53 mark. Travis Conrad got into the scoring act in his first game back from injury, burying a pair of three-balls to put the home team up 22-13 with 7:50 left in the first half.

A pair of Sam Light free throws and a Ricky Bugg three-point buzzer beater extended the Dutchmen lead to 32-20 at halftime before LVC netted the first seven points of the second half to increase the advantage to 19 with 17:15 remaining.

The Lebanon Valley onslaught continued when Caleb Barwin was fouled attempting a three before sinking his trio of foul shots to put the Dutchmen up by 27. Light also knocked down free throws and his pair from the charity stripe gave LVC its largest lead of the game at 59-30 with nine minutes left to play.

Head coach Brad McAlester went to his bench midway through the second half and the group of Brett Gilbert, Chris Anderson, Luke Stambaugh, CJ Boxley, Collin Moore, Liam Brennan, Andrew Eberhart, Cyree Sutton-Ames, and RJ Kupsho kept up the pace set by the team's starters, never allowing the Pride (4-2, 0-1 MAC Commonwealth) to draw closer than 20 points.
