How It Happened
GLENSIDE, Pa. – Lebanon Valley's women's soccer team fell to the No. 7 team in the country, Arcadia, by a 3-0 score on Tuesday night in MAC Commonwealth action. The Dutchmen now sit at 6-4-0, 0-2-0 MACC, while the Knights stayed undefeated and sit at 12-0-0, 2-0-0 MACC.
Tonight's match marked the third-consecutive affair that LVC has faced a nationally ranked opponent (No. 14 Messiah and No. 25 Misericordia).
The game was scoreless until the 24th minute when Arcadia's Kayla Haberbosch received a cross from Jess Kelly from the left side and scored to make it 1-0. Then, just under four minutes later in the 28th minute, the Knights made it 2-0 when Mia Bertolami scored her first goal of the year off a shot from the top of 18 after collecting a loose ball. Arcadia's 2-0 advantage stood heading into halftime.
In the second half, the Knights continued to limit the Dutchmen's scoring chances and in the 47th minute, Arcadia put the game out of reach when Haberbosch netted her second of the game when fended off a defender and struck the ball over
Taylor Reinhold's head and into the net.
