How It Happened
ASTON, Pa. – It was a historic night at the Neumann University Tournament as Lebanon Valley's women's ice hockey played in its first-ever game against the hosts, Neumann University. The Knights defeated the Dutchmen 5-1, but LVC has started a new age for the athletics program.

Neumann didn't waste much time finding the back of the net when Bek Lucas scored just 19 seconds into the game off an assist from Kate Blad. Later in the first at 7:42, Jordyn Cholish scored a power-play goal from Lucas to make it 2-0, which stood after one period of action.

In the middle period, Kelly fox lit the scoreboard, followed by another PP goal to make it 4-0. With the Knights ahead 5-0 in the closing minutes of the third period, Savannah Knoble scored LVC women's ice hockey's first-ever goal, on the power play, thanks to assists from MacKenzie Bokina and Liz D'Ginto. The score of 5-1 stuck for the game's final score.

Inside the Numbers
 - D'Ginto was 17-for-27 on faceoffs to lead the Dutchmen. The freshman also recorded a team-high five shots.
 - Knoble and Nicole Lloyd each had two shots.
 - Starting netminder Victoria Lahey made an impressive 33 saves, but was tabbed with the loss. Jillian Moffat came in to relieve Lahey and didn't let in any goals in over 31 minutes of action. Moffat was stellar in the third period, making 19 stops and totaled 25.
 - Neumann had five different goal scores on the night, while Lucas finished with four assists and Grace Klienbach recorded two.
