How It Happened
WINCHESTER, Va. – Lebanon Valley earned a split at the Shenandoah tri-match on Saturday afternoon. The Dutchmen fell to Lynchburg 3-0 before sweeping the hosts 3-0. LVC's record now sits at 19-7 overall this season.
Lynchburg Match
Against the Hornets, the Dutchmen held an early 8-5 lead in the first half before Lynchburg struck for five straight to go up 10-8. The Hornets never relinquished the lead and went on to win the first set 25-20. LVC held another lead in the middle set at 11-8, but a 6-1 run gave Lynchburg a 14-12 advantage. Later, tied at 23-23, the Hornets scored two in a row to take a two sets to none lead.
LVC fought hard in the last set, however Lynchburg had ever answer for a potential Dutchmen comeback and won the set 25-15.

Greta Weidemoyer led the offense with 11 kills, 14 assists, and eight kills.

Jess Attieh was also in double digits in kills at 10.

Erin Koons added 10 assists, while
Melanie Phifer notched a team-high 11 digs.
Shenandoah Match
LVC salvaged the split when the Dutchmen cruised past the hosts 3-0. All three sets were close, but it was LVC who came out on top each time. The Dutchmen took the opening set 25-20, the second set 25-21, and the third 25-22.
Inside the Numbers Against Shenandoah
- Amber Deshond had a match-high 11 kills and Weidemoyer added nine. Weidemoyer added five blocks, 18 assists, and two service aces.
- Koons added 15 assists, while Attieh recorded 16 digs and
Amanda Sides had 14.
Who's Next?
LVC hits the road for Williamsport on Tuesday at 7 p.m. for a match with Lycoming.
