How It Happened
Lebanon Valley defeated Albright 3-1 and clinched a MAC Commonwealth playoff spot this afternoon. The Dutchmen are off to their best start in program history and now sit at 12-2, 5-1 MACC and the Lions slipped to 2-12, 0-7 MACC.
Before today's match LVC honored its nine seniors in

Gabe Stasyszyn,
Jon Kok,
Cam Alexander,
Ryan Peugh,
Alex Detweiler,
Bradley Mehl,
John McHale, and
Brad Wood.
In the 22nd minute, Alexander put the Dutchmen on the board when
Jake Kline sent a ball in the front of the box and Alexander got loose and found the back of the net for the 1-0 lead. Just over a minute later, Mehl passed the ball to the left side where
Austin Freeman ripped one past Albright's keeper for a 2-0 advantage. That score held up through halftime.
The majority of the second half didn't feature much action until the 82nd minute when
Ethan Abdalla delivered a one-tough pass to
Kyle Guissanie on the right side and Guissanie scored on the right side making it 3-0. The Lions added a late goal, but the Dutchmen held on for the win easily.
Inside the Numbers
- LVC outshot Albright 23-8 and 10-4 in shots on goal.

Cam Avery made three saves and won his 12th match of the season.
- The Dutchmen were dominant in corner kicks at 9-1.
Playoff Picture
With today's win, LVC clinched a spot in this season's MAC Commonwealth playoffs. Two conference matches remain, and one win would clinch the Dutchmen the 2-seed.
