How It Happened
It was an all-out offensive explosion for Lebanon Valley in its 8-0 shutout victory at Hood on Saturday morning, Oct. 22.

Megan Arnst scored four times and Brittany Fleisher recorded four total points thanks to a goal and a pair of assists. Most importantly, LVC (10-6, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth) kept their playoff hopes alive with the crucial conference victory.

Arnst opened the game's scoring in the 13th minute off a feed from Fleisher before netting her second of the contest less than three minutes later. Rachel Gorman made it 3-0 Dutchmen heading into halftime when she deflected home a Caity Stevens attempt in the 23rd minute.

Fleisher got into the scoring act 2:31 into the second half when she gathered a rebounded attempt and put her shot past goalkeeper Hailey Poisal. Arnst opened the second half by netting her second set of back-to-back markers of the day in the 39th and 40th minutes, respectively.

Maddie Fox recorded the assist on LVC's sixth goal of the contest before connecting on the team's seventh when she finished off a look from Fleisher with 24:48 left to play. Isabella Vulopas capped the game's scoring with a goal with 2:22 remaining.

It Was Over When…
Lebanon Valley was white hot to start the second half. It took Brittany Fleisher less than three minutes to add to the team's lead and Megan Arnst scored two goals in a span 48 seconds to increase the Dutchmen advantage to 6-0 with 29:38 left to play.

Inside the Numbers
- LVC finished with an astounding 57-0 advantage in total shots, with 35 of those Dutchmen attempts coming on goal.
- Lebanon Valley earned 18 penalty corner attempts on the day.
- Megan Arnst's four goals were a career high. She now leads the team with nine goals on the season.
- Only 3:49 elapsed between Arnst's first and second scores, while just 48 seconds ticked by between her third and fourth goals of the game.
- LVC's eight goals were the most scored by the team in a game this season.
- Despite allowing eight markers, Hood goalkeeper Hailey Poisal made 26 saves on the day.

Playoff Picture
With a conference record of 3-3, LVC currently sits tied for fourth in the MAC Commonwealth standings with Albright. If the season ended today, the Dutchmen would earn the league's final postseason berth thanks to a head-to-head win over the Lions earlier this season.

Who's Next?
The Dutchmen host Stevenson at Arnold Field on Thursday night for LVC's regular-season finale. A win would clinch a spot for LVC in the upcoming MAC Commonwealth postseason tournament.
