How It Happened
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lebanon Valley held off a potential Lycoming comeback and edged the Warriors 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's soccer action. The Dutchmen kept rolling and improved to 11-1, 4-1 MACC, while Lyco fell to 7-6-3, 2-3-1 MACC.
Just under 10 minutes into action,
Cam Alexander delivered a pass to
Jake Kline inside the box and Kline ripped the ball past the defense and into the back of the net for the early 1-0 advantage. LVC's stellar defense held onto the lead through the half.
In the 70th minute of action, the Dutchmen padded their lead when Youseff Ouayakhaf hit the post, but it came right down to
Tyler Skye who shot it past the goalie for his fifth goal of the season. With just over two minutes to go, the Warriors' Nathan Harding scored off a free kick from about 20 yards out, but LVC was able to hold off Lycoming for the big win.
