How It Happened
Andy Orr scored a career-high 33 points to lead Lebanon Valley to its third consecutive victory; an 82-74 decision over MAC Commonwealth rival Stevenson at Sorrentino Gymnasium on Wednesday night.

Orr's performance was arguably the best of his young career. In addition to his game-high point total, he grabbed a team-best nine rebounds and made life miserable for the Mustangs (4-10, 2-3 MAC Commonwealth) down low thanks to his five blocks.

Sam Light was feeling it in the early going and finished with 21 points, including seven tallies in the game's first 6:48.

The Flying Dutchmen (9-4, 4-1 MAC Commonwealth) led 64-47 following an emphatic dunk by Orr off a find from Light with 8:01 left to play but Stevenson methodically closed to within striking distance thanks to the team's ensuing 12-0 run.

LVC showed its mettle by scoring the game's next seven points and stretching the fragile advantage back to double digits at 71-59 with less than four minutes remaining. The Mustangs were unable to significantly cut into the deficit as the Dutchmen converted their free throws down the stretch.

Lebanon Valley looked poised to turn it into a laugher as the team's 34-25 halftime lead quickly ballooned to 10-plus moments after the break. Light's old-fashioned 3-point play at the 19:01 mark pushed the advantage to 12 and Zach Mrozek's steal and reverse layup on the other end made it 54-38 with 11:47 remaining.

The Dutchmen led by as many as 10 in the first half following a pair of Orr free throws 2:50 before the break. Light was fouled attempting a 3-pointer and converted all three foul shots moments earlier to make it 28-18 LVC. Orr and Light combined to shoot 7-of-12 from the field to score 25 of the team's 34 first half points.

Stevenson's largest lead of the night came just moments after the opening tip at 7-4. Lebanon Valley proceeded to put together a 14-4 run capped by a Kyler Burke layup, giving the Dutchmen a lead they wouldn't relinquish.

Turning Point
Clinging to a suddenly slim five-point lead with less than five minutes to play, LVC put together a clutch 7-0 run over the next 1:14, capped by Travis Conrad's 3-pointer from the left elbow. The junior captain's deep ball extended the Dutchmen lead to 71-59 with 3:22 remaining and Stevenson was unable to climb back into it.

Top Performer
Andy Orr – Who else could it be? The sophomore big man showed why he's the reigning MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year. Orr finished one rebound shy of a double-double, grabbing nine boards to go along with his career-high 33 points and five blocks.
