How It Happened
Lebanon Valley bounced back from a tough two-game stretch and dominated Widener 77-38 in MAC Commonwealth women's basketball action on Wednesday night at Sorrentino Gymnasium. Coming into tonight's matchup, the Dutchmen and Pride were tied for fourth in the conference at 3-2, however with the win, LVC improved to 10-5, 4-2 and jumped to thirdplace with Lycoming losing to Albright.

The Dutchmen started the game red hot, jumping out to a 12-2 run capped off by a Taylor Umbrell trey, causing the Pride to burn a timeout. LVC continued to cruise and had their largest lead of the quarter at 22-5 at the end of the first.

In the second quarter, the Dutchmen outscored Widener 17-11 and went into halftime with a comfortable 39-16 advantage. LVC held the Pride to just 20.7% shooting from the field in the first half.

The Dutchmen poured it on in the third period and with 2:43 remaining in the quarter, Kiely Chaklos drilled a 3-pointer that put LVC up by 30 points at 55-25. LVC's biggest lead of the night came with 3:39 left in the fourth when Anne Lehr scored a bucket to make it 74-32, an impressive 42 point lead over one of the MAC Commonwealth's top teams.

It Was Over When
LVC never trailed in this game, and to begin the third quarter, the Dutchmen put together a 9-3 run that put LVC up 47-19 the Dutchmen never let the Pride get anywhere close en route to the 73-38 domination.

Inside the Numbers
 - Peyton Carper paced the Dutchmen with 15 points, while Chaklos finished with 12 points, four assists and three steals.
 - Lexie Lantz was in double digits in points with 11, while she added six boards.
 - Taylor Troutman and Taylor Umbrell added nine points apiece with Troutman bringing down a team-high seven rebounds.
 - LVC shot 44.3% from the field as a team compared to Widener's 21.1%.
 - The Dutchmen held the conference's second-leading scorer, Brianna Wylie, to just two points in 11 minutes of action. She was in early foul trouble and a stingy LVC defense never let the forward get any type of momentum.
 - Alexandria Lehman saw 12 minutes of action and scored three points with two assists.
 - Anne Lehr snotched two points and two assists in nine minutes.
 - LVC once again had strong bench play, outscoring the Pride's bench 29-19.
 - The Dutchmen took advantage of 21 Widener turnovers, turning them into 17 points.

Who's Next?
LVC looks to keep the momentum when the Dutchmen travel to Williamsport on Saturday to take on MAC-Commonwealth foe Lycoming at 1 p.m.
