How It HappenedHARRISONBURG, Va. – Lebanon Valley blanked Eastern Mennonite 2-0 on Saturday night and secured its third-consecutive victory.
Both of the Dutchmen's goals tonight came off of fouls by the Royals. The game was scoreless for most of the game until the 76th minute when
Tyler Skye received a penalty kick and took advantage of the situation and knocked it home for a 1-0 LVC lead.
Not long after,
Jon Kok made a weak side deflection off a free kick in the 83rd minute for some insurance, as the squad held on for the 2-0 shutout victory.
Inside the Numbers - Skye notched his second goal of the season, while Kok scored his first in 2015.
- LVC ripped 17 shots and 11 of them were on net. Eastern Mennonite managed 14 shots and nine on goal.
- The Dutchmen held the slight edge in corner kicks at 7-5.
