How It Happened
The slimmest of margins was all that stood in the way of Lebanon Valley in the team's hard fought 1-0 loss to Susquehanna at Arnold Field on Wednesday night.

Lauren Cram's putback off a Tessa Woodring attempt with 16:04 left to play proved the difference in the Crusaders' (6-2) fourth straight victory.

A defensive-minded first half saw the Flying Dutchmen (3-5) get off just three shots and SU attempt just two. LVC's best look came late in the period when Rachel Gorman gathered a ball in close and got her shot past Susquehanna goalkeeper Alyssa Rothman but not the stick of another Crusader defender.

The visitors were awarded three penalty corners early in the second half but goalkeeper Victoria ByDeLey turned away SU's lone shot of the sequence.

The Dutchmen looked poised to get on the board in the 45th minute when Rachel Gorman found Kristen Garman on a penalty corner but Gorman's blast was turned away by Rothman, as was Maddie Fox's look from in close moments later.

After ByDeLey made five saves in a four minute span, the Crusaders finally broke through with Cram's rebound in the 57th minute.

Notable Performance
Victoria ByDeLey – Although it came in a losing effort, the freshman goalkeeper turned in the strongest performance of her young career against the Crusaders. She made a career-high eight saves on the night, including a thrilling sequence that saw her make three straight stops on back-to-back-to-back attempts from SU's Emily Novakovich midway through the second half.
