Lebanon Valley def. Penn St.-Altoona 3-1 (21-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-18)
How It HappenedLebanon Valley dropped the opening set but came storming back to take the next three en route to the 3-1 victory over Penn St.-Altoona on Friday evening at the F&M Quad in Lancaster. The Dutchmen jumped to 3-3, while the Lions fell to 1-5.
In the opening set, LVC recorded 10 kills and just two errors, however Altoona took the first set by a narrow 25-21 margin. In the second set, the Dutchmen had 12 kills and took advantage of several Lions errors and evened the match at 1-1 with a 25-17 second-set win.
The third set was tight, but LVC notched 13 kills, its most in any set of the night, and won the set by a narrow 25-23 margin to take a 2-1 lead in the match. In the fourth and final set, the Dutchmen slammed the door on Altoona and had eight total kills and won 25-18 and took the match 3-1.
Inside the Numbers - Three players were in double digits in kills on the night, as
Alli Quirk led the team with 13, followed by
Jess Attieh with 12 and
Greta Weidemoyer with 10.

Melanie Phifer was solid from the service line with four aces, while
Emily Sides added two.
 - Quirk added to her monster game with six blocks and Attieh had four.

Rachel Moltz dished out 22 assists and Sides contrivuted 16.
 - Allie Garret dug out 21 balls and Sides finished with 11 digs.
Tomorrow's MatchupsThe F&M Quad concludes tomorrow as the Dutchmen take on the host F&M at 11 a.m. before finishing with Randolph-Macon at 1 p.m.
